Sępolno Playing Field

Ready, get set, go! The task was to transform a large sports/recreation area by the school, placing the new development in the context of Sępolno’s historical architecture. With reference to the housing estate’s urban design, we planned the largest element in this project – the multi-function playing field – on the school’s central axis. Between it and the building’s entrance, a new open space was created, which plays the role of the assembly ground. Thanks to the colours used in the project, it fits in harmoniously with the buildings around. The rusty red of the field surface complements the red of the walls, and white elements refer to the colour of the window frames. Around the main playing field, we placed smaller objects: a straight running track, a long jump track, an elliptical track, and exercise stations. We also improved the shape and surface of the cycle speedway track. The finishing touches were pavements and small architecture: benches, wastebaskets, and a dustbin shelter.
